Register below to audition for Nutcracker Unlocked on Saturday, August 1 at VDC East and be part of VIVA's newest holiday tradition!
Participation is open to all dancers 4+, both VIVA and non-VIVA. All dancers 6+ will be required to audition - a $15 audition fee is due prior to audition day. We'll send everything you need to know!
Please arrive dressed in a black leotard, pink tights, and ballet shoes. Dancers with pointe experience are encouraged to bring their pointe shoes.

Step into the magic of Nutcracker Unlocked—Viva Dance Collective's fresh take on a timeless holiday tradition. Blending the nostalgia of the classic Nutcracker with exciting new storytelling, contemporary creativity, and a variety of dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, ballroom, hip hop, and more, this production offers a place for every dancer to shine. Whether you're an experienced performer or taking the stage for the first time, we encourage dancers of all backgrounds to be part of this unforgettable holiday experience.
The audition schedule is outlined below. Dancers 12+ who wish to be considered for all roles are encouraged to attend 11:15-3:45.

*Participation is open to all dancers ages 4+. 4 & 5 year olds do not need to audition and will be placed in age-appropriate roles.
**A guided warm-up will not be provided. Please arrive one hour before your scheduled audition to check in and complete your own warm-up.
Interested in a non-ballet role? Be sure to attend the Non-Ballet Roles (Ages 6+) audition from 2:45–3:45pm to be considered.

If you're unable to attend Nutcracker auditions in person, you can still be considered through a video audition! Each dancer should submit two videos demonstrating the required age-specific combinations from the front. Combination videos are linked below.

Party Scene (Ages 6–11): Submit both required combinations (2 total videos).

Snow & Flowers (Ages 12+): Submit both required combinations (2 total videos).
Dancers wishing to be considered for pointe roles must also submit their required combinations en pointe.
Please submit your audition by emailing a Google Drive or Vimeo link to info@vivadancecollective.com no later than 12 noon on Friday, July 31. Be sure your sharing settings allow us to access and view your videos.
